My first blog

Getting into this rather late in life I would imagine should give me a different perspective on life.
It doesn't. My perspective is the same as it was about ten years ago when I thought I was still young and somewhat cool.

I have a son now, but I've ben practicing for him so I don't see any major changes in how I view the world around me.

I still see the world as a great place. I see our country, the United States of America, as the greatest nation on Earth, bar none. Having had the opportunity to travel to other countries and see how others live, I believe my opinion to be valid. I've lived in the Middle East and Asia. I've travelled to Europe, the South Pacific, and the tip of Africa as both a member of the US Armed Services as well as as a civilian.

Anyway, I'm pleased to create my first blog on the day thatt we, as a nation, inaugarate George W. Bush for his second term as President of this great nation.
